Model EM-40 is a horizontally mounted aluminum backdraft damper designed to permit vertical downward airflow while preventing reverse (upward) flow when the fan is off. The blades open under system pressure differential and close by gravity, delivering reliable, power-free backdraft protection. Featuring a flangeless design for installation flexibility, the EM-40 includes adjustable counterbalance weights to assist blade closing.
