Model EMV-11 is a horizontally mounted aluminum backdraft damper designed to permit vertical upward airflow while preventing reverse (downward) flow when the fan is off. The blades open under system pressure differential and close by gravity, providing reliable, power-free backdraft protection. Standard construction includes adjustable counterbalance weights to assist blade opening.
