The GM-31 backdraft damper is designed for horizontal airflow applications, delivering dependable protection against reverse airflow in HVAC systems. The gravity-operated blades open in response to differential air pressure, with adjustable counterbalance weights to fine-tune opening pressure and minimize pressure drop. When airflow stops, the damper closes by gravity. A discharge-side flange provides secure attachment, and adjustable counterbalance weights assist blade opening.
