The PRAD positive pressure relief door is factory set to open automatically at 2 in. wg (0.5 kPa) above normal system operating pressure, helping protect ductwork from over-pressurization events. If system dampers close while the fan continues to operate, the PRAD provides immediate pressure relief to help prevent duct damage or catastrophic failure. This automatic, fail-safe protection adds an extra layer of system safety and reliability.
